A Time To Inquire | Morning Briefing | Ep. 257
On this Friday’s episode of Morning Briefing, we continue on our study of King Josiah in 2 Kings 22. We see how at a time of new revelation with the uncovering of the Book of Law, Josiah had the high priest to inquire of the Lord for discernment for the people of Judah. Today, we look through stories as to how we can inquire of the Lord for discernment for the coming midterm elections and for the hearts of the people in this nation in the days ahead.
Join us as we break down the news of the day to stay focused on our prayer points. #checkouremotionsatthedoor #wehavesoulstosave
Verse of the Day: 2 Kings 22:12-13
12 Then the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Micaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king’s servant saying, 13 “Go, inquire of the Lord for me and the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for great is the wrath of the Lord that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”
Intercession Points for 11/4:
- “Josiah had the high priest inquire of the Lord on behalf of the people of Judah. Inquiring of the Lord was a strategy of war that David used in his day, and it has great power for those today who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to us. Ask the Lord to open your ears and inquire of Him anew and afresh/.” The Future War of the Church, by Chuck D. Pierce and Rebecca Wagner Sytsema
- Intercede for voters to be able to discern clearly ahead of the midterms and to vote based upon Biblical Moral Values.
- Intercede for the Golden Court Case involving the Biden Admins action to unilaterally deciding to forgive student loans and to ignore a halt given by a judge ahead of the midterms
